Karl Kani has been a force in the fashion industry since the 1990s. His self-titled brand paved the way for hip-hop fashion, earning him the nickname “Godfather of Urban Streetwear” as he provided clothes for artists like 2Pac and Biggie Smalls. According to recent allegations, however, it looks as though Kani’s morals (and brand) could be in serious trouble.
An unnamed model came forward on Wednesday, posting a lengthy message that said Kani raped her. “First and foremost,” she writes, “saying this is not easy. But if this is going to bring me justice one day then so be it. The man you see in this picture raped me. I was drugged and raped with no recollection of what happened the night of. Only bits and pieces.” The model then went on to reveal that she’s “been in an ongoing case since 4/18/06,” but that the district attorney told her that her “case is now CLOSED and not going to trial” due to lack of evidence (Scroll to read the full post).
The post goes on to say that Kani (born Carl Williams) has “done this before” and that she woke up “in this man’s bed naked right next to him with no memory of how I got there, how I got naked, how I got into his bed, or how the f*ck I even got into his home. Half of my toenail was gone with dry blood on me. I had scrapes on my legs. I was paranoid and confused.” The model also includes screenshots of text messages between her and Kandi.
An old video has leaked online showing the internet celebrity being attacked by her mother.
