‘Tekken 7’: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Man, what an excruciating wait it has been for the console release date announcement of Tekken 7.

Fans have had to get their fill of the game by playing it at arcades/fighting game competitions and watching every piece of available footage that’s out there. Once June 2 finally arrives, they’ll no longer have to step outside to get in on the action. Tekken 7 and all of its Fated Retribution updates will be ported over to home consoles – PS4, Xbox One and PC. This massive sequel will bring back series regulars, introduce new fighters with familiar movesets, include a surprising guest character and feature a full-fledged story mode to boot.

There’s so much information surrounding the 7th King of the Iron Fist Tournament. We’re here to make sure you know all about it.

1. This Entry’s Story Mode Focuses on the Conclusion of the Mishima Clan Saga

The Mishima Clan have been at each other’s throats ever since Heihachi threw his son Kazuya into a ditch. Both father and son have settled their differences during past iterations of the King of the Iron Fist Tournament. Kazuya’s son, Jin Kazama, eventually took the reigns of Heihachi’s Mishima Zaibatsu organization. Jin and Kazuya (who leads his own group, the G Corporation) have gone to war ever since. When Jin suddenly disappears, Heihachi steps into his leadership position and continues his ongoing beef with Kazuya.

Tekken 7 marks the end of the epic Mishima family saga. Heihachi’s wife and Kazuya’s mother Kazumi will also play a big part in how their final battle unfolds. Gamers will get to not only watch this dark plot unfold, they’ll also get to actively participate in it. Tekken 7’s Story Mode seamlessly integrates its high-octane cinematic sequences right into the playable fights. For instance, you’ll jump right into Akuma and Heihachi’s fated battle after watching them first encounter each other. You’ll have the option of choosing who you want to play as as you play out the events of the Story Mode’s most climatic skirmishes.

2. The Game’s Roster Includes Fan Favorites, All New Fighters and a Special Guest Character

Tekken 7’s roster is huge. Along with a host of returning characters, several fresh fighters will make their debut. A few of them even fill the role of fighters from past Tekken entries, such as Gigas who lifts some of his moves from MMA fighter Craig Marduk. Plus the formerly male Raven gets replaced by a feminine version who gets upgraded to the title of “Master.” Several of the game’s familiar roster members arrive with new moves and costumes that keep them fresh for this 7th series installment.

Refer to both lists posted below to see who you’ll be able to play as in Tekken 7:

3. Tekken 7’s Newest Battle Mechanics are the Rage Mode, Rage Drive and Rage Arts

Rage is a common theme that’s present in Tekken 7. It perfectly describes the game’s plot and plays a part in the game’s newest mechanics. For instance, a character who’s near death taps into the power of an ability called “Rage Mode.” Once activated, that character will be covered in an intense red hue. You can then choose to pull off a “Rage Drive” attack, a single maneuver or combination of attacks that deals more damage and provides your fighter with a blue aura and invincibility.

Or you can instead pour all your rage into a powerful “Rage Art,” a super combo of sorts that’s different for every fighter. When both fighters look like they’re about to land their final blow, the game’s camera slows down and zooms in in order to accentuate the action unfolding onscreen. This new feature has already created hype moments for those watching it during live tournament streams.

‘Power Rangers: Legacy Wars’: Top 5 Tips & Cheats You Need to Know

Here are the top five tips/tricks/cheats you need to know for Power Rangers: Legacy Wars.

1. The Basics of Mighty Morphin’ Combat

• So when you first boot up Power Rangers: Legacy Wars, you’ll get right into the fray with a very thorough tutorial. After you’re done with that, always keep this attacking/defending battle flow in mind – a Strike comes out much faster and interrupts a Breaker attack, a Breaker attack overpowers a Defense maneuver and tapping into your Defense means you can always block a Strike. Just move out of the way when a Breaker attack is coming your way. You can always figure out what type of attack your opponent is about to use since the icon for that attack will appear over their head. Respond accordingly! Keep all of these tips in mind as you constantly keep your Leader Ranger in careful motion and pick your attacks wisely. Experiment with your Leader rangers during battle to see which ones can land faster attacks. Those are the ones you’ll rely on most over time. It’s possible to launch your foe into the air with an attack and follow it up with another one if you have enough energy. Try landing an attack during a Assist, too.

2. Build Your 3-Person Ranger Squad Accordingly

Power Rangers Legacy Wars

• So your Power Ranger team will be composed of three fighters – one Leader and two Assists. The sole Leader fighter is the one you’ll actively use during battle. Leader Rangers stick to one of two classes – Attack or Defense. The more offensive-minded Leader Rangers have more attack moves, while the more defensive focused Leader Rangers get access to more shield maneuvers. Assist Rangers can be called upon during battle to land an attack, such as the original Pink Ranger who shoots off a quick arrow. The Assist Rangers are capable of landing melee or ranged attacks, so experiment with them all to see which combinations work best. Keep in mind that the health of your Leader Ranger depends on the combined health pool of your entire trio. Constructing a team of high-HP Power Rangers can do wonders for your battle progress. And combining one melee and one ranged Assist Ranger on your team should always be a viable tactic.

3. All the Game’s Goodies Reside in Morph Boxes and Corruption Boxes

Power Rangers Legacy Wars

• So there’s a whole lot of collectibles featured here – Power Coins, Power Crystals, Zeo Shards, XP, new Power Rangers and the boxes that contain such rewards. As you get promoted to new battle leagues and win fights, you’ll unlock better Morph Boxes. Keep in mind that you can speed up the unlocking process for a Morph Box by paying the required cost of Zeo Shards. You can have up to four Morph Boxes ready to open at one time. Corruption Boxes work a bit differently, though – you have to dish out the requested amount of damage for opening them by participating in battles. The damage you attain gathers up during battles you win and lose, so don’t worry too much about taking an L too much. You’ll have the opportunity to work on releasing the goodies within a Corruption Box every 24-hours. Make sure to keep note of the achievements you complete in order to get extra XP and Power Crystals.

4. Upgrade Those Rangers!

Power Rangers Legacy Wars

• As you build up your team of unlocked Rangers, you’ll become more familiar with the upgrading process. Heading into the shop will give you a look at the featured Rangers that the game recommends you unlock. You’re going to have to spend a good amount of Power Coins in order to fill a Rangers’ unlock meter and add them to your roster. Once unlocked, you’ll have to spend the required amount of Zeo Shards and throw in some Power Coins to boot in order to upgrade any one of them. Focus on upgrading the Rangers you use most. There’s really no point in wasting currency to improve the Rangers you actively despise.

5. Hook Up With an Alliance ASAP!

Power Rangers Legacy Wars

• Once you reach player level two, you’ll unlock the ability to join an alliance or create one of your own. Alliances are your primary way of gaining and donating extra Zeo Shards.
